Dr. Melody Schiffer, DMD, Periodontist

Dr. Melody Schiffer is a board-certified periodontist and implant specialist dedicated to helping patients achieve lifelong oral health through expert care and a compassionate approach. Born and raised in Westchester, New York, Dr. Schiffer earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan before pursuing her dental education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Her passion for advanced surgical care led her to New York University, where she completed a rigorous residency in periodontics and implant dentistry. Following her training, she earned board certification as a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology—a distinction that reflects her clinical excellence, commitment to continuing education, and dedication to patient outcomes.

Dr. Schiffer is a respected member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and several regional dental societies. She frequently lectures at national conferences and holds a professorship at NYU, where she shares her knowledge with the next generation of dental professionals.

Outside of the office, Dr. Schiffer lives in Suwanee, Georgia, with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys community service, traveling, exercising, cheering on Michigan football, and spending time with her family.
